Woody and Kennedy moved to Nashville separately in 2015. Both members had notable success in country music in their careers prior to meeting in front of the Ryman Auditorium before playing their Broadway gigs. Woody coming from a classic country background with influences such as George Jones and Hank Williams, and Kennedy coming from a folk music background with influences such as Emmylou Harris and Townes Van Zandt instantly connected; later joining forces as "Carolina Pine." Together they have toured with Alan Jackson as his opening act, reached millons of views on YouTube and Facebook, sold out theatres as the headlining act, and had a #1 song for 6 running weeks on Bluegrass Music TV. The duo is currently recording their debut full length album together and planning their summer 2026 tour.
